Rosalinda is the drama series of GMA-7 starring new star Carla Abellana as the title role and Geoff Eigenmann as Fernando Jose as her leading man. Rosalinda is a remake version of the late 90’s Mexican Telenovela that previously shown on rival network ABS-CBN. The Mexican version of Rosalinda starred sexy singer-actress Thalia. Rosalinda (original version) was among the highest rated and most watched TV series on primetime television during the time it was aired on ABS-CBN.

Now that GMA-7 got the rights of airing the remake version of the hit telenovela, will they have the same high ratings as the original version? It is said that GMA-7’s Rosalinda will fight against former GMA-7 artist Angel Locsin on another remake version of the hit korean drama “Only You” on ABS-CBN. Only You is a current and consistent top-rater on primetime. Rosalinda, the Philippine remake, will start on Monday, July 6 on GMA’s Telebabad.
